The main educational goal of the foreign languages division is to bring
up qualified workers who will meet the demands of globalization and
internationalization. For this goal, three courses of English, Chinese
and Japanese majors are established. The English major emphasizes
viable English proficiency and communication competence.
The Chinese course work provides not only linguistic knowledge but also general
information of Chinese politics, economy, history, and culture, and fosters the
sufficient qualifications for Chinese experts. The Japanese majors are
also trained as Japanese specialists who will play an important role in
the scenes of various interchanges between the nations and peoples.
