The mechanization and specialization of the industrial society
inevitably accompany the negative symptoms of dehumanization.
Literature heals those symptoms and improves the quality of life. The creative
writing department considers literature to be more than the mere
subject of academic study, and intends the students to contribute to the
development of the Korean Literature and, above all, to the humanistic
goal of writing by cultivating their literary talent with various
writing experiences.
